Josh McCormack - Solicitor, Director

As Principal of McCormack Advisory, Josh combines deep litigation expertise with sector-specific knowledge in construction, manufacturing, and mining services. His background spans private practice and an in-house role with a FTSE 100 global engineering group, giving him a practical understanding of the legal, commercial, and strategic pressures businesses face.

Josh is an experienced litigator and advocate, having represented clients in the Local, District and Supreme Courts as well as in arbitration and all forms of alternative dispute resolution. He focuses on resolving disputes efficiently while protecting clients’ commercial interests.

In the construction and infrastructure space, Josh works closely with developers, contractors, asset owners and builders on contract drafting, project delivery and disputes. He has particular experience helping businesses navigate risk allocation, variations, security of payment and termination issues under standard-form contracts.

Josh also brings specialist insight into the manufacturing and mining services sectors, having spent an extended period working exclusively for a mining services and engineering company. He now supports OEMs, distributors, fabricators and suppliers across the supply chain, providing clear and commercially-focused advice on contracts, procurement, compliance and disputes.

Josh works with businesses of all sizes, from small operators through to large national companies. What his clients value most is his straightforward approach — clear, practical advice that cuts through the legal jargon and helps them get on with running their business.
